In the overloaded world of colors and noise, B&W photography will give some rest for your senses. I will teach you how to look in black and white. I will focus on the post processing techniques and show you how to create an image that makes an impression. I will explain how to present these images on the Internet and how to prepare them for printing and exhibitions.

Workshop description:

Our workshop starts with dinner on Friday at 16:00. We get to know each other and discuss expectations and plans.

During the weekend we are going to have 4 x 3h of postproduction sessions and at least 2 outdoor sessions.

We will stay in the wonderful hotel in the heart of the Polish Jurassic Highland. It is a beautiful and attractive land with a varied landscape with characteristic white monadnocks. It is rich in architectural monuments,  especially castles and their ruins.

Breakfast and dinner (HB) is included in the workshop price. Our hosts serve tasty meals, prepared from local products. Vegetarian menu is also available.

You will be acoomodated in a double comfortable room.

Our last session ends on Sunday 14:00

Polish Jurassic Highland

This beautiful land is located between Częstochowa and Krakow. You can get to our location (near Złoty Potok) from Warsaw/Wroclaw in 3 hours and from Krakow/Katowice in less than 2  hours. If you travel by train I can pick you up from the train station in Zawiercie or Częstochowa.

There are a lot of locations attractive for B&W photographers. Apart from the intensive post production sessions I will organize outdoor sessions.  We will photograph castle ruins in Mirów, Bobolice and Ogrodzieniec. For volunteers I can also arrange the night session.

Accomodation:

You will be accommodated in comfortable double room . Each room is equipped with a bathroom. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant is included in the workshop price.

The regular price for the workshop is

The price includes:

  • Accommodation in  hotel in comfortable double room with breakfast  (Sat&Sun) and dinner (Fr&Sat).
  • Service of an experienced photographer
  • Outdoor photography sessions (learning composition, correct exposure, use of light, photographic tricks, image creation and building your own artistic vision and the power of photography)
  • Computer classes (analysis and discussion of participant’s photos, basics of professional digital processing in Lightroom, Photoshop, Nik Collection, Photomatix)
  • Presentation and discussion of programs for smartphone and tablet, that facilitate photographing and planning photo sessions

The price not includes:

  • Services and meals beyond described
